June Tarpon Fishing Report

Happy June, fishing fans! The Forgotten Coast of Florida is heating up and so is the fishing action. Tarpon are plentiful in the waters off St. Joe Beach and Port St. Joe, and anglers are having great success catching these hard-fighting fish. For those targeting sharks, there have been good numbers of blacktip, spinner, and hammerhead sharks in the Gulf near Cape San Blas.

If you’re fishing for tarpon, live bait is always a good bet. Mullet, herring, and pinfish all work well. For those targeting sharks, fresh cut bait or live bait will do the trick. And don’t forget to use heavy tackle – these fish are no joke!

As always, be sure to check the local regulations before heading out on your fishing trip. We hope you have a great time and tight lines!
